- I did a few items on the engine:
- Installed oil pump and water pump.
- Installed TGVs and Intake
- Repaired stripped valve cover bolt thread. Had to get creative with this one but was able to make it work.
- As things go…my EJ257 gasket kit didn’t have the right valve cover gasket for the EJ205 heads so I had to just bolt them down for now without a gasket to seal them for the trip south. I’ll have to take them off and install them for real once I get the right gaskets.
- Why does Subaru make it so just enough things are different for it to be annoying?
- Packed all my donor items so I can load them up next weekend when I pickup the kit and relocate to GA.
- It’s amazing how much stuff I still have after selling what seemed like an entire car’s worth of parts.
- Side Note: My school club got our LM7 5.3L V8 running in a BMW E28. The car’s being built for the GRM $2018 Challenge.
