In reply to <a href="https://www.818coupe.com/2022/02/28/elementor-2272/#comment-16">Truman HW</a>.

Hello!

I don't know that I would call the trans repair no big deal per-se...it was $1000 and maybe 20 hours or so of work in total. Probably a wash compared to doing it in a WRX.

I think the car pulls a little over 1G laterally. It's front-end limited on grip and difficult to fit wider front wheels/tires the way the frame is. I'm happy with the current power levels and all of my "upgrades" as of late have centered around repairs, driveability, and refinement.

Total cost of the car, hard to say now at this point since I don't keep track any more. The initial build was about $30k including the failed engine rebuild.

The EV conversion business is called Ampere EV. Our website is ampereev.com!

I'm guessing it's a weeee bit easier to work on this car than it would be a WRX ... and swapping the tranny was no big deal...but, cost money you'd much rather have no spent, obviously.

I'm going to try to see if I can find a link to whatever your new business venture is, see what you're doing (if it's in racing, auto, tuning or something else).

Curious also, how do you feel about how this drives?
What would you rate its performance as similar to?

What kinda lateral performance?
Any track times you've gotten ..?
Is the power always more than enough?
Are you upgrading it..? Are you happy with it?

How much do you think it cost you in total ..?

Again, thank you! And if it's not a privacy issue, would love to know what your new business startup is.
